Small Steps 4 Hannah
On the 19th of February 2020, Hannah Clarke and her three children, Aaliyah (6), Laianah (4), and Trey (3), were tragically murdered by Hannah’s estranged husband. Hannah’s estranged husband, who was also the children’s father, committed suicide during the tragedy, which magnified the absolutely abhorrent act to something so unbelievable that it shook not only the community of Brisbane South but the country as a whole.
Subsequent to this incredibly tragic event, a foundation was set up by Hannah’s parents to bring awareness to their plight and to initiate an effort to HALT domestic and family violence across Australia.
Hannah Clarke went to the same school as Kat and was a part of the Brisbane South community that both Kat and Jonathan grew up in. In addition to this, Kat has a very personal and tactile relationship with domestic violence, which she has shared extensively with the public. These two points, among many others, are what makes Hannah’s and her children’s story hit so close to home and touch us in a very special way.
When Kaladé was envisaged, we always wanted to use our brand as a way to give back to the community but also bring awareness to issues that resonate with us on a personal level. Small Steps 4 Hannah was the obvious choice.
Kaladé has committed to donating a portion of the profits from the sale of our products to the Small Steps 4 Hannah Foundation. This means that every time you purchase one of our amazing products, not only are you looking after your skin in an exceptional way, but you are doing a small part to help bring awareness to one of Australia’s biggest issues, which will assist in putting a HALT to domestic and family violence.
